Pinwheels are a true crowd-pleaser. (There’s a reason they’re a staple at every graduation party’s snack table!) This recipe wraps buttery, flaky pastry around layers of warm, savory ham and melty Dinner Bell Creamery Pepper Jack Cheese for a time-honored flavor combination! But you can always swap out the meat and cheeses for a different take. No matter how you roll them, they’re super quick and easy, and perfect for busy hosts who want to serve something delicious without spending all day in the kitchen.

HOW TO:

  1.  Preheat the oven to 375°F. Unroll two thawed puff pastry sheets. Evenly spread ½ cup caramelized onions in a single layer on each pastry sheet, all the way to the edges. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves over the onions.

  2. Place 4 slices of smoked deli ham on top of each sheet. Top each sheet with ½ cup shredded Dinner Bell Creamery Pepper Jack Cheese.

  3. Starting at the long edge, roll the puffpastry sheets into logs. Using a sharp knife, slice each log into six 1 ½-inch thick pinwheels.

  4. Place the pinwheels at least ½ inch apart on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.

  5.  Bake the pinwheels until golden brown and the cheese is starting to bubble, 17 to 20 minutes.
